Thank you to the RBC Foundation, Community Infrastructure Fund, for its investment of a $60,000 grant for Heartwood’s “Efficiency Builds Sustainability” project. RBC Foundation annually receives over 10,000 requests for funding. RBC reaches out to as many organizations as possible each year. This grant provided Heartwood House with the funds to upgrade its HVAC system by installing two new York HVAC units. Heartwood House is very grateful for RBC’s support as we continue to upgrade our building, and provide a home for 22 charities and non-profits to deliver their important services to the Ottawa community.

Our Mission

Heartwood provides an affordable, accessible workplace for small non-profit and charitable organizations, enabling them to maximize their services through a mutually supportive, hospitable and empowering environment for their clients and participants.

Heartwood serves the residents of Ottawa who are marginalized, living in poverty, and/or in need of educational, mental health, emotional, physical, economic, employment, training or recreational support through collaboration and the development of formal and informal partnerships within the greater community.
