ECOEQUITABLE'S ONLINE AUCTION

Date: Wednesday 7th October - Thursday 15th October

Vintage and new machines, exclusive experiences, luxury fabric and lots of handmade treasures are up for grabs through EcoEquitable’s first ever online auction, all in support of women's empowerment and textile waste reduction! The online auction will close at 7PM on Thursday 15th October.


HEARTWOOD HOUSE- NEWCOMER FINANCIAL LITERACY SESSION WITH ALTERNA

Alterna Savings is hosting a free financial literacy session at Heartwood House, for people who are new to Canada (within the last 10 years). Topics covered include money and banking as well as any other items that you would like to have covered. There is no cost and everyone is welcome. Tell us what you would like to learn and when you can come. It takes no more than five minutes.


METAMORPHOSIS WITH HOPEWELL

CICAN - PREVENTING, MANAGING AND UNDERSTANDING HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND DIABETES

This session covers prevention of both conditions and what happens after diagnosis: continuity of care, monitoring your own health, and knowing which resources exist in Ontario. For newcomers, it's also a chance to understand what it means to stay an active participant in your own care, and how managing a chronic condition works in the Ontario system. OVWSG ANNUAL SALE AND EXHIBITION

Date: Saturday 7th – Sunday 8th November

Time: Sat 10AM - 5PM, Sun 10AM - 4PM 

📍Glebe Community Centre, 175 Third Avenue, Ottawa

This free event showcases guild member’s work and features over 20 vendors selling a range of handmade fiber art and craft, including items and supplies. Free parking is available at Corpus Christi Elementary across the street.


SHAMBHALA OTTAWA- PRACTICAL TEACHINGS FOR DIFFICULT TIMES

Date: Saturday 7th November - Sunday 8th November

Time: 9AM - 5PM

📍Shambhala Ottawa, 404 McArthur Avenue, Ottawa

Over two days, you'll learn timely meditation techniques, hear talks on staying grounded in uncertainty, and connect with others asking the same questions. This session will be led by visiting teacher Jennifer Woodhull. Open to all, regardless of meditation experience or familiarity with Buddhist teachings. Register here.
