ADAO's mission is to empower, in a holistic way, the lives of those affected by anxiety through advocacy, education, research support and community programming.

Also is a safe and caring community learning centre serving adults and families. ALSO builds on individual and family strengths and supports the development of the tools needed for family life, work and daily living.
  Link   ALSO Cares Family and ALSO Deaf Literacy Programs
We provide family literacy services including child minding services for learners on-site as well as services to Deaf and hard of hearing adults and families.

We provide care aimed at enhancing the quality of life of people affected by aphasia by helping them improve their ability to communicate with others and regain their self-confidence. Call 613-567-1119 for further information.
  Link   Capital City Mission (CCM)
Our mission is a drop-in centre in the heart of downtown Ottawa that ministers to the inner city’s poor and homeless people by expressing Christ’s love to them. We offer free services such as meals, laundry coupons, clothing, counselling.

The Community Laundry Cooperative is a not for profit facility that provides affordable laundry services and a network of support to low-income residents of Ottawa.

Our mission is to assist French speaking immigrants, and help them obtain not only financial independence but also facilitate integration into Canadian society by overcoming the daily difficulties they encounter.

Our mission is to help settle and integrate into our community those newcomers to Canada who for a variety of reasons, have difficulties in accessing community programs on a regular basis.

We are a coalition of development, environment, faith-based, human rights and labour groups formed in 1994 to ensure that demands for fundamental reform of the World Bank and the international Monetary Fund.

We offer support, information and hope to anyone affected by eating disorders. We promote prevention by helping people to understand eating disorders and the importance of healthy attitudes towards body image, eating and physical activity.

The OASW is the voice of social workers in Ontario. We speak on behalf of the interests and concerns of social workers. We advocate for the improvement of social policies and programs directly affecting social work clients and social work practice.

We are a youth led charitable organization that mobilizes and equips Canadians to create local and global change through individual and collective choices.
  Link   Ottawa Jewish Historical Society
We are a local cultural charitable organization that helps to support the Ottawa Jewish Archives. The Society sponsors public lectures on topics of local Jewish historical interest.
  Link   The Ottawa Valley Weavers' and Spinners' Guild
Formed in 1949 with the aim of drawing together individuals interested in fibre art and crafts, particularly weaving and spinning. For information call 613-241-5937.
  Link   People, Words & Change (PWC)
We are a one-on-one, Literacy and Essential Skills program for adults in Ottawa, Ontario. Our volunteer tutors help adult learners reach their own goals.

We are a national network of volunteers who are committed to creating the political will to end global poverty and needless suffering, and demonstrating that individuals make a difference when they exercise their political influence.
